Google Workspace Integration for Collaboration Analytics (ONA)

Connect to Google Workspace, to integrate Google as data source for Collaboration Analytics.

To allow Teamspective to collect data from your Google Workspace, it needs to call APIs on behalf of users in a Google Workspace organization. For this it needs to be granted domain-wide delegation of authority in the Google Workspace Admin console by a super administrator account. For more information, see Delegating domain-wide authority to a service account.

Pre-requirements

Ensure you have Super Admin access to your company's Google Workspace account.

Enable data-sync in Google Workspace

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console at https://admin.google.com with the account that has super-admin privileges.

  2. Go to Security -> Access and data control -> API controls -> scroll to Domain Wide Delegation.

  3. In Domain wide delegation, click the 'Manage Domain Wide Delegation' button.

  4. Click on the 'Add New' button.

  5. Insert the following details to the modal:

    1. Copy and paste Teamspective client ID (107410831817981079594) into the Client ID field in Google. Google uses the client ID to verify if the client is registered within the Google workspace account.

    2. Leave the 'Overwrite existing client ID' checkbox un-checked.

    3. Google Read Only Scopes: Copy and paste the following scopes into the OAuth Scopes field in Google. These give permission for Teamspective to sync users, groups that the users belong to, and the organization a project belongs to.

  6. Click the Authorise button to save the form.

  7. Now that you have provisioned domain-wide delegation to Teamspective, contact your Teamspective account manager or in-app support to let them know this has been done, and share with them the email address of your super admin user.
