Slack Integration for Collaboration Analytics (ONA)

Connect Teamspective to Slack, to add it as data source for Collaboration Analytics.

Updated this week

To activate Slack integration for Collaboration (Organizational Network Analysis), follow these steps:

  1. Invite an admin of your Slack workspace to your Teamspective workspace, and give them administrator permissions in the members page. If you are a Slack admin then you can skip this step.

  2. The admin person should go to Network -> Passive Data Sources page and connect Slack from there. The permissions flow will only ask for permissions that are important for Teamspective to work properly, so you should grant all the permissions it is asking.

  3. That's all! The system will sync the data and start using it for modeling your organizational network. Please be patient, there may be large amounts of data so the processing can take a while.

What does this integration do?

  • Integration pulls data from Slack for Teamspective's collaboration features. If you're looking to send surveys or sync users from Slack, please refer to this guide instead.

  • We retrieve message metadata of your public Slack channels.

  • We don’t read, save or store any message content.

  • We don’t access data from DMs or private channels.

  • If you use multiple workspaces with Slack Enterprise Grid, please contact Teamspective support or your Teamspective contact person.
